Oregon State - Our Beaver Nation

The sixth goal in the OSU Athletics Strategic Plan is investing in the facilities and infrastructure necessary to compete at the highest level. For nearly a decade, we have worked together with Beaver Athletics to enhance and expand our facilities footprint.

Recently completed Capital Projects:

P. Wayne Valley Soccer Grandstands

This project provides new grandstands, which are ADA accessible and enhance the game day experience for OSU students and all Beaver Soccer fans. The press box was also be renovated in order to improve sound quality within the facility needed to encourage a dynamic in-game atmosphere. Donor recognition resides at the entrance as well as within the stadium. Lead gifts to the project are honored with named sections.

 

OSU Gymnastics Practice Facility

OSU Gymnastics moves into a brand new, state-of-the-art practice facility. This training space is just over 20,000 square feet, making it the largest in the Pac-12. The focus of this project was centered around four areas - community, competition, function and wellness, and recruiting. This project continues the emphasis being placed on women's athletic facilities at OSU as part of the Facilities Master Plan. The Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center was a wonderful home for nearly 30 years and we could not thank the Valley Foundation enough for their generosity. Take a quick tour of the practice facility!

 

P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center Renovation

Student-athletes are given individualized, sport-specific training programs by the strength and conditioning staff, allowing them to achieve their maximum level of performance while reducing injuries. The 17 varsity teams train year round by the professional staff to improve speed, power, strength and endurance. The P.Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center renovation will maximize efficiency and productivity, include a fueling station, increase the number of conditioning platforms, provide direct access to Prothro Field, and include a new indoor turf area for calisthenic training throughout the year. Women's Basketball Locker Room

The Oregon State women's basketball team has unveiled its newly renovated locker room, which was opened to the team earlier this month. The state-of-the-art facility upgrades were part of a $2.3 million project, which was funded completely by private donations. The improved facility includes a freshly branded locker area for the team, an upgraded classroom area for film sessions and studying, a common area ideal for team activities and bonding, a brand new game day room and offices for the coaching staff. Omaha Room & Casey Corner

The Omaha Room provides a premium experience within Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. It has 52 stadium style and 12 bar style seats, and 28 inside seats. Ticket holders receive in-seat food & beverage service. Casey Corner boasts 24 bar style seats directly against drink rails with in-seat food & beverage service for ticket holders. The remaining space is open to other ticket holders as a standing room only space with portable food and beverage options available.






Men's Basketball Locker Room

Renovations on the Jimmy Anderson Men's Basketball Locker Room in Gill Coliseum were completed in early 2018. The space received rejuvenated branding and made it a more functionally efficient area for players and coaches.








Valley Football Center

The Valley Football Center was a transformational project that spoke to the Oregon State Football's focus on recruiting, functionality, and efficiency. The facility was not only renovated within its current footprint, but was also expanded. The locker room is 53 yards wide and boasts state-of-the-art hot and cold pools. Each area of the venue has the student-athlete in mind and allows for them to prepare for success on and off the field.
